As you can see from the results the Commerce has been quiet for the last couple of days. The Heads Up today could not get close to the usual 128 so was capped at 64.This double elimination is a lot of work for Asst TD Sam Quinto.

Out of nowhere the players arrived at 5pm. A $335 bounty with a $100k guarantee. Audley Harrison,the English boxer, was here after a winning fight in London.Sara Chau + Para Gill put in a shift while Patrick McMillan played both.Over 400 played.By 7pm only 240 were still playing.

Tomorrow should be quiet again with a $545 six handed at 2pm and a $1k at 5pm.

Then on Thursday the fun returns with a little get together with Annie Duke and her brother, as Howard Lederer was reduced to at San Manuel, maybe Penn Jillette (luckily the Commerce has no neighbours he can wake up) and Scott Ian who is a friend of Liv Boeree. Stakes is the intimate meeting place for the presentation by Annie and the red carpet. The action moves upstairs at 8pm for a $330 tournament. Everyone will take something home as pro charity event organiser Lisa Wheeler has put together a goodie bag and Annie has lots of UB swag to give away. As well as prizes for the final nine , including a seat in the WPT invitational, special prizes will be given : for aces cracked, for celebrity bounties and for the last woman standing. Sara is out in tenth and I am home narrowly avoiding the raccoon family in the driveway. The shortstack Larry Israel pushed with pocket fours and was called by Ax.An ace hit the flop but Larry rivered a flush with one of his fours. Sara wasn’t in the hand but that river cost her $700 in prize money as she was the first to be eliminated.

This may be a soft spot for Sara Chau to take home one of the modern trophies from the Commerce. Of course, along with Pokerati Dan, I have a soft spot for Sara the Dallas Viet cutie. She was our secret tip for WSOP fame and glory but she was distracted in Vegas and did not play many tournaments but did cash there. I have just read a good article about Joe Sebok in the latest Bluff. I also learned that UB is now Mac compatable. As I used to be quite the elimination blackjack player I downloaded to find Russ Hamilton dealing blackjack. He can do the three card trick with 6,7,8 in any order. Pity Annie Duke and Hellmuth have been so reluctant to address the sites problems.

The 5pm bounty with a $100k guarantee has 458 with alternates still jumping in so the room is buzzing. While Men is playing his FT in London , it is business as usual for his wife Van, UT and yesterdays winner Vinny Vinh. My OTHER friend, Sara Chau already has 4 $100 bounties. She looks terrific today.Her roomie Patrick McMillan finished 13th. Joe Bartholdi has his girlfriend playing .

Neil Channing is putting his team in one of those 10 bedroomed party houses. Depending how deep he plays in the $40k he may be freerolling already. I watched the first hand of the $40k today and Andrew Robl bust.

I noticed two casinos offering all day buffet passes for $20 + $25. Unfortunately, it isn’t the Rio,Wynn or Bellagio.

It appears that Sara Chau 18500 and Connie Kim 11400 are through to Day2. George Bronstein (Full Tilt cap) has 22400.

 

Another person who has been on five cashes for an eternity now is young Texasian Sara Chau. Sara is still in the learning stage but she seems an enthusiastic pupil. She could still play the ME if she wins her seat through Fridays Supersat, otherwise she will head home to Texas and no doubt Vegas will be pencilled in on her calender. A fine opportunity for an online site to sign her before the WSOP as she reminds me of Liz Lieu three years ago. With less women playing the ME she would be sure to generate a lot of publicity for any site.

Tyson Marks is dominating the final day of the $550. Starting the day in ninth place with 79k he has catapulted himself into a huge chip lead. Tyson has already won a tournament here the LHE. Sara Chau, complete with cough, visited the final table again. She has all the qualities to become the new media darling. Also poker is her life at this time.
