A rare break for L.A. grinders

With the Bike finishing yesterday,congrats to Casey Stewart, the L.A. tournie players are free to enjoy the beach and the hoh October weather we are experiencing.

Unusually the players are given a break before the Commerce Open commences on November 3rd. This is a good schedule put together by Matt Savage with Omaha8 and HORSE events included.The ME is on the 19th- 22nd and has a $500k guarantee for a $2085 buy in.

During the Open, Pokerstars brings its NAPT to the Bike. The event at the Venetian was a massive success and I expect this one to be also. The event runs from November 12th to the 17th.

The Bike dealers return to work the day after that event on the 18th for the Ho Ho Hold Em (not named after Maria).This is scheduled to run until the 12th of December under the guidance of the congenial Mo Fathipour.

Dirty Wally has his photo in this weeks “Pasadena Independent.” The article ,by Terry Miller, states that 90 year old Wally credits his five young wives for keeping him young before zooming off in his brand new Lexus convertible. I base my fashion sense on Dirty Wally and still don’t have wife #1 under my belt. I do not come with a Lexus convertible though. The five wives didn’t stop Wally playing in the $50 and cashing in 72-781.

Monday at the Bike

It’s a long way to go, for me anyway, to pick up some results for youÂ but that is why I spent my Monday evening at the Bike in Bell Gardens.Todays tournament was a $120 buy in with a $25k guarantee. It looks a close thing with about 200 seated and another two dozen in line. “The Deputy” Scott Diamond played after finishing a shift helping to make L.A. the safest big city in USA.

I know you expect a huge gallery from me after a Ladies Event. However, let me tell you “California Girls” wasn’t written about this group. Maybe the $500 Ladies next Sunday will be hotter x5. In fact, Jessica Potter from todays stud is all you need. Jessica won’t be winning today however. The stud event featured a few names: Randy Holland, Paul Darden, Robert Turner, Sirous B,
Robert Durant, Para Gill and Norman Chad. 132 entered.
