Francesco Totti, the Roma soccer star, has signed for the Italian division of PartyPoker. Totti is no run of the mill soccer player in Rome, he is a legend. Totti has shown a rare loyalty to Roma never being tempted, to be like Robbie Keane or Craig Bellamy,to move to Milan or England for a huge signing on fee.Now 34 years old the player,whose poker ability is unknown to me,said of the deal ” I always apply myself with skill,loyalty, intelligence and passion.You need all of these for poker.It is a game that excites me and is a lot of fun.”

A PartyPoker.It spokesman added ” What Totti strives for he usually achieves.He is one of the greatest football players of his generation.The question is will he become one of the greatest poker players?”

With Totti’s loyalty he may have many years at Party to achieve greatness.

PokerStars pro Dario Minieri, a Roma fan, will be heartbroken that his hero is now playing for his rivals.
