By coincidence,probably, on the day of the $10k Heads Up at the LAPC I received an email from Rogers + Cowan, who are already doing a better job than Jackie Lapin did at the LAPC Invitational, listing the 57 stars who will be joined by seven qualifiers at Caesars Palace on Friday March 5th for the sixth NBC heads up invitational.
The winner will receive $500k,the runner up $250k. The event will be televised and highlights shown on NBC at a later date. The draw will take place on Thursday 4th in Pure nightclub, next to the Caesars LV poker room.
WSOP Champions Joe Cada, Peter Eastgate, Joe Hachem, Chris Ferguson,Johnny Chan,Jamie Gold, Chris Moneymaker,Scotty Nguyen,Jerry Yang, Huck Seed and Greg Raymer are all scheduled to play.
The ladies will be represented by Vanessa Rousso,Annette Obrestad,Jennifer Tilly and Kara Scott.
Dennis Phillips and Darvin Moon who both held the chip lead in the WSOP ME 2008 and 2009 for three months have also been invited to play, a nice gesture by Harrahs. Phillips is an excellent ambassador for the game of poker.
Betting will again be handled by Ted Forrest.
