A good run that started at the WSOP 09 continues for the Alaei family. Father Eddie finished 22nd out of 2368 in one of the 1500 NLHE events at the Rio. Son Daniel, a high stakes cash player, then won a bracelet and $446k, in the WSOP Omaha8 championship. A week later he finished 4th to Greg Mueller in a championship LHE event at the series. Eddie made a final table at the Bike in December before Daniel won the WPT ME at the Bellagio for $1.4m.
Son Daniel was on hand to see his father win the $545 NLHE. He looked thrilled and was included in the winners photo. 296 players entered the event which was overlooked in favour of the Stud8 tournament which played out side by side.
