With Jerry Buss a regular here when I heard the final six would be attending a basketball game tomorrow evening  I assumed it was the Lakers. However, it is the Clippers. Add to that the fact that I don’t think we will have a final six by game time tomorrow and it is a case of thanks but no thanks.

In my language it is like being told you are going to the races, then find out you are going to watch trotters and not Santa Anita.

I have not seen a media herd like this since the WSOP with strangers such as Nick Geber in attendance. Thanks to Matt we are allowed to stay in the room at all times and I have been free to go onto the floor to shoot photos. 15 minutes is fine at this stage but on a Day1 with 697 players if anyone doesn’t look at the camera immediately you have to move on.

Downstairs, some names are waiting for Saturdays celebrity tournie or maybe for their horse to finish so their share of the loot doesn’t disappear between here and Vegas. Todd Brunson, Sheiky, Mike Matusow, Billy Baxter , Lee Markholt + Cyndy Violette are sitting at the tables that require up to a $10k buy in.

Upstairs progress has ground to a near halt although Matt Savage will be pleased to see former WSOP champion Chris Ferguson in the lead. Matt is desperate for a big name to occupy at least one of the final six seats. I would like total unknown Binh Nguyen to fill one of those seats. Binh and his g/f Irene are a very likeable couple.
